Join the NYS Donate Life Registry Partner Program

Every day, hospitals and healthcare systems help create a donation-friendly New York by engaging in activities to increase organ and tissue donation. In 2020, nearly 2,500 lifesaving organ transplants were performed in NYS, and the lives of thousands of others were healed through tissue and corneal donation. Thanks to your commitment, each year between 500 and 600 families are provided comfort knowing their loved ones’ legacies live on in patients whose lives were saved or healed through their selfless gift of donation.

To further support hospitals and healthcare systems’ efforts to increase organ and tissue donation, Iroquois Healthcare Association is collaborating with Donate Life NYS to introduce the New York State Donate Life Registry Partner Program. Partners are authorized to embed the Registry’s online enrollment form, allowing patients to join the Registry without ever leaving your organization’s website or patient portal. Embedding the enrollment form allows the Registry to track the number of enrollments generated by each partner, and partners can evaluate the impact of their own efforts through de-identified enrollment reports accessible on the Registry’s website. This is a great way for hospitals participating in HRSA’s Workplace Partnership for Life to earn points and recognition while saving lives. Because just one organ donor can save eight lives, and heal seventy-five or more through tissue and corneal donation, the potential impact of this program is significant. Initial rollout of this program has demonstrated immediate success — one participating hospital has already had nearly 1,000 patients join the Registry through its patient portal to date.

We hope you will support the efforts of Iroquois Hospital Association and Donate Life NYS to increase enrollment in the NYS Donate Life Registry.
