A Message From Our CEO
The 2024 legislative session has come to an end. We have seen some victories, however, our advocacy continues. This is especially true regarding the State Fiscal Year 2025 budget that passed in April. IHA has been working diligently to push for bills we support and defend against those that would be harmful to our Upstate and rural hospital membership.
Workforce legislation was IHA’s top priority post budget. We met with many legislators to ensure they understood IHA’s strong advocacy regarding Upstate and rural hospitals need for permanent solutions to our workforce challenges. This work will continue as our focus remains on on-going workforce programming and strategies to best tackle the persistent challenges that you all regularly face.
We would like to thank everyone who attended our 2024 Annual Meeting in Cooperstown. We appreciate your willingness to take time out of busy schedules to come together, and discuss our shared challenges. These meetings are integral to informing IHA’s advocacy agenda and solidifying priorities for the year to come.
