Statement from IHA President, Gary J. Fitzgerald, on Governor Cuomo’s 2018-19 Executive Budget Proposal

“We are pleased to see Governor Cuomo making healthcare a priority in his 2018-2019 Executive Budget, given all the uncertainty in Washington. There are hundreds of millions of federal dollars at stake for programs that affect New Yorkers’ abilities to access quality healthcare, including the Children’s Health Insurance Program, the Disproportionate Share program, 340B prescription drug program, and the Essential Program. This Executive Budget proposal helps mitigate those potential losses. The Iroquois Healthcare Alliance (IHA) and our members recognize these efforts and look forward to a final, enacted budget that preserves, protects and invests in Upstate New York’s hospitals and health systems.”
