Statement from IHA President, Gary J. Fitzgerald, on Governor Cuomo’s 2018 State of the State Address

“The Iroquois Healthcare Association (IHA) is grateful that Governor Cuomo recognized the unique challenges facing rural health care providers in the 2018 State of the State. Proposing additional resources for rural hospitals and health systems, focusing on increased telehealth services, and emphasizing the importance of local Emergency Service organizations will greatly enhance the delivery of health care throughout Upstate New York. Upstate hospitals are the economic cornerstones and safety-net providers of their communities, serving as the largest employers and providers of care to all New Yorkers, regardless of ability to pay.” – Gary J. Fitzgerald, President & CEO
